This is week 1 of the one room challenge! After watching from the sidelines for a while I’m excited to finally join in as a guest participant for the first time this fall. If you aren’t familiar with One Room Challenge you can read all about it and follow along with other participants here. In short, a lot of bloggers/Instagrammers are challenged to makeover one room in their home within 6 weeks.
We recently bought our home and I’ve been slowing adding some personality and character to our otherwise boring builder grade home. For this ORC I’m tackling our home office. Are you ready to see the before and the plans.
The Plan
What you can definitely expect is for this room to be – one part traditional, one part modern and one part vintage!
The main difference in this room is going to be the transformation with paint. I plan to paint every wall and storage (IKEA hack) a moody green, yes even the ceiling!
Here is my plan for this space. This is my first time attempting a mood board so please be kind 😉 what do you think?
Our Home office is right off our entry. The focal wall will have Moulding detail. This is inspired by Ginny Macdonald x Lulu & Georgia . I also plan to add a lot of storage with the IKEA cabinets.
The wall on the right will be a bold floor to ceiling gallery wall.
I’ve been dreaming up this home office for a while. if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you would definitely know how excited I’m to get started with this space!!
